SCOTLAND, the nation, finally woke up to the fact it had a decent football team when, against all the odds, Shelley Kerr and her players qualified for the World Cup in Albania on Tuesday. It was in every way an extraordinary achievement and one which owes everything to the people who work in the sport and almost nothing to the nation.
